Only a little effort for your life's total turnaround!

My Gurudev Shri Shri Sitaramdas Omkarnath Dev was so kind that He was always assuring us that the path to attain the Divine enlightenment was not at all a painstaking and hard one.. He used to told his devotees repeatedly that the only goal of any human being is to witness and realize the presence of God.. For this purpose however, a devotee is required to try with utmost sincerity, love and desire to witness the God as his or her 'Isto Dev'.. Thakur Shri Omkarnath Dev has also prescribed the way as to how the devotee should proceed for this.. He has told - "Shuddhaahaar, Sadaachaar, Kaal e Upaasan; etei lovibe Priyo Pratyaksho Darshan!" Means that a person desiring to witness or attain the togetherness with the God should undergo the following:-
1. Shuddha Aahaar- One should eat pure and swattik food only after being offered to one's Lord Istodev (God). It means only those foods which are suitable for offering to God (vegetarian items which the Shashtras permit) should be offered to the God first and then be taken as Prasaadam in meals.. Since He has also quoted from the Shashtra as: "Annam Bishthaa, Payoh Mutro Jad Vishnor Na Niveditam"- means eating any solid food without having been offered to God (Lord Vishnu) is like eating scat and any liquid food is like urine! So, consuming this type of pure food (Shuddha Aahaar) will purify our body, mind and soul gradually as Shri Gurudev also once explained that whichever food we consume goes in three ways; one part builds our body, the second part builds our mind and soul and the last part goes out from our body in the form of scat, urine, sweat, etc.
2. SadAachaar- A person should follow the regulations (Aachaar-Bichaar) as approved by our Shashtras. It means one should practice kindness, forgiveness, non-greediness, cleanliness, etc. to attain and maintain mental and physical sanctity. And we all know that a sacred body and soul constitute a seat for God's place.
3. Kaal e Upaasan- A devotee is required to practice his/her rituals and prayers in 3/4 time slots as recommended by Shri Thakur quoted from the Shashtras. These slots are: from 24mins before to 24mins after sunrise, noon, sunset and midnight (for dedicated devotee). Why these time-slots? What happens if anyone prays or performs rituals during these time? Shri Gurudev has explained this aspect too. He advised that these time-slots being the confluence span of any two phases of the day or night, attract Swatttik  Paramanu (Holy spirit or energy) which bestow upon the devotee to help him/her to proceed fast to reach his/her goal.

Thus, the path my Gurudev has suggested is easy to follow but a form of dedication or attachment is very much required. Really inspired? Then you may also please give it a try as you've nothing to loose.:-) May the almighty God bless all of you. Jai Gurudev, Jai Sitaram..
